Go Scooter Go! - Kristen Vincent's Bio
Kristen Vincent is the creator and CEO of Go Scooter Go! and the inventor of the I.C.E. Tag™. She is also Matthew’s mommy, Max’s wife, and a member of Orange United Methodist Church.

Kristen believes that her life and career paths have all been preparation for the launch of Go Scooter Go! Her 20 years of experience working in social justice issues has helped her identify innovative ways to meet the needs of people in the community. This included 5 years working with people with traumatic brain and spinal injuries, many of which were caused by car accidents. Her involvement in her church and her Masters in Theological Studies from Duke Divinity School increased her understanding of the need to be active in the community. And her 14 years of experience in nonprofit management, including 10 years in the position of CEO, helped her develop her entrepreneurial, marketing, and business skills.

But it was her time with Matthew and Max, and her increased involvement in the church, which helped her understand what was most important to her: time with her family and her church, and the opportunity to share an innovative concept with others to help them feel safe and connected.

And so Kristen launched Go Scooter Go! with the goals of sharing the I.C.E. Tagwith others, having more time with her family and church, and using the profits to help others in the community.

In Memory Of

This effort to share I.C.E. Tags is dedicated to the memory of Kelly Horner.  Kelly was a close friend of Kristen’s who was filled with energy, creativity, humor, and a deep love for her friends and family. She was devoted to raising and loving her son, Cade, and delighted in watching him grow up. Tragically, Kelly was killed in a car accident on September 23, 2007.  Her son Cade, who was strapped safely in his car seat with her, was injured and needed immediate medical attention. Although Kristen had started working to develop I.C.E. Tags a year before Kelly’s death, her accident brought home the critical need for the tags.  Kristen hopes that I.C.E. Tags will ensure that all children will be connected to a loved one in the event of such a tragedy.
