I.C.E. Tag Tip of the Day
ICE Tags at Disney
A trip to Disney World will rank high in your list of great family trips, with amazing adventures and activities for every age. But keeping up with your kids in the midst of the crowded parks can be a real challenge. So that you can have both peace of mind and a magical time, take an I.C.E. Tag for each of your children. The best way we've found to keep them handy is to attach them (using our vinyl holder) to a Disney-themed lanyard. Such lanyards are easily found at any Disney store. You child will fit right in with all the other kids who are wearing Disney lanyards (usually for trading pins) and will stay connected to you with the information on their I.C.E. Tag. Buy an I.C.E. Tag for your next trip to Disney, and say hi to Mickey for us!
On the Road Again: Travel Tips
I Call Middle Seat!
When we were kids we used to always fight about who got a window seat in the back of my parent's car - noone wanted to ride on the "hump" in the middle. Turns out, that's the safest place for a child to be in a car. Who knew?!? According to a study published in Pediatrics, children who are seated in the center back seat have a 43 percent lower injury risk than those seated on either side, according to Parents magazine (August, 2008). If possible, place your child's car seat in this spot. However, as Parents emphasizes, it's most important to make sure your child's car seat is installed properly, so if you're having trouble setting up the seat in the center position, "it's better to install it properly on the rear passenger or driver side." For tips on proper car seat installation, see our links under "Get educated. Stay safe."
